After a long hot summer, we welcome the colder nights this week. It's october now and we make ourselves ready for the fall- and winterseason. The yard is undergoing a good cut and the porch will get his long awaited reno. The old house is coming back, step by step, to the condition we want to.
Unfortunately, we had a big drawback, due to a lightning strike in our grid and nearby trees, recently. A bunch of appliances gave up and we're quite busy to get things done. We hope that the insurance company will give us some credit...
Peanut Pickin Yard Sale was a succes and the B&B was fully booked. A lot of people we're on the road for Hurricane Matthew this weekend. Although we were occupied, we could help some people out. Coming wednesday 12th, there is a lunch on the porch and thursday, we have our themed dinner "Oktoberfest". Pinpoint in your calender, that at saturday, october 22nd, after the BigPig Jig Parade in the morning in Vienna, we organise the Taste of Vienna. People who loves wine and food tasting, craftsmanship and other passionated businesses, are more than welcome. A Belgian sommelier will fly in, to tell you about different red and white wines, their tastes and how to taste.
Admission is S10.- when you RSVP. It will be $12.50 at the event itself. Profit will be donated to Fuller Center of Housing (housing for people in need). Mrs. Fuller will be available that day too.
Nevertheless, we're happy that some more colder days will come. It's time for action and bring some life to our area.
